Once complete, the development will employ over 2,000 people as part of the casino resorts’ team. The second phase will include more entertainment amenities and even hotels. The first part of the project will include number of gaming and dining options. The whole project had been just referred to as Durham Live up until this point.ĭurham Live is the name of the broader development of the area.Ĭonstruction started last year and phase one of the site is expected to be complete by early 2020. The Great Canadian Gaming Corporation says the new gaming and entertainment destination in Pickering will be called ‘Pickering Casino Resort.’
